My fall skin hydration tips :)

A change of weather is in the air and fall has come upon us. It’s getting cooler and our skin needs a little more tlc, a.k.a hydration.

So what to use and when to use it???

Below are some easy ways to add moisture for each skin type.

as we go into fall and head into winter Let’s keep our skin happy and hydrated…

OILY SKIN

It can be tempting to avoid moisturizing products all together for fear of making excess oil production. That is an absolute no…moisturizing your skin is still required. Here are a few ways to add moisture, but not over do it…

-Use an oil free moisturizer day and night

-Add a hydrating gel mask once a week before bed

-Use hydrating sheet mask

-If your skin is still feeling a little tight try a water-based hydrating gel sleeping mask

COMBINATION SKIN

It can be a challenge to give all the areas of your skin what it needs all the time…

-Spot treat….use a hydrating gel mask on the oily areas of your skin and a heavier hydrating mask on the dryer areas….you can do the same with serums, add a little extra hydration during the day by using a hydrating serum only on the dryer areas of your face

-Use a hyaluronic acid serum at night

-Sleep in a hydrating overnight gel mask

-Add hydrating sheet mask

DRY SKIN

If your skin tends to be dry normally the weather change will only increase that…

-Switch to a cream facial cleanser if you are not already using one

-Add a hyaluronic serum in your morning and night routine

-Use a heavier night cream

-Add a moisture rich sleeping mask a few times a week

NORMAL SKIN

Well you are a lucky one… :)

-Add hydrating mask and sheet mask throughout the week

-Use a night cream

-Try a hydrating sleeping mask when your skin is feeling tight

Most important, for all skin types, is to make sure you have good water intake. A lack of water intake will only increase skin dryness on your face, as well as the rest of your body. Make sure to exfoliate at lease once a week to avoid dead/dry skin build up and to allow your moisture products to penetrate the skin.

I hope this was an easy, but informative read. Incorporate one or two steps that might fit into your regimen and see how your skin responds. Let me know if you see a difference. Comment with any questions, suggestions or if you just wanna show a little love :)
